Leozen Exotics — Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 11/03/2021
Last Updated: 08/12/2026

Leozen Exotics LLC, doing business as Leozen Exotics (“Leozen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you:

  • visit www.leozenexotics.com or another website or online service that links to this Privacy Policy;

  • request a quote, create an account, make a reservation, or rent a vehicle directly from Leozen;

  • communicate with us by telephone, email, text message, WhatsApp, social media, web form, or in person;

  • use, occupy, or operate a Leozen vehicle; or

  • otherwise interact with our services, locations, employees, contractors, or business partners.

Our website, booking systems, communications, rental services, and related offerings are collectively called the “Services.”

This Privacy Policy does not replace the Leozen Exotics Terms of Service, a signed vehicle rental agreement, a telematics consent, a damage waiver, or another transaction-specific disclosure. If you book through Turo or another third-party platform, that platform’s privacy policy also applies to information it collects and controls.

1. Personal Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us, the vehicle selected, the booking channel, and applicable insurance, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.

A. Identity and contact information

We may collect:

  • full name, date of birth, age, signature, photograph, and customer or account number;

  • mailing, residential, billing, pickup, delivery, and return addresses;

  • email address and telephone number;

  • emergency contact information; and

  • social-media handle or profile information when you communicate or book through a social platform.

B. Driver and eligibility information

We may collect:

  • driver’s-license number, issuing jurisdiction, issue and expiration dates, license class, restrictions, and images of the front and back of the license;

  • a selfie or live identity-verification image used to compare you with your identification;

  • driving-history information, eligibility results, or identity-verification results obtained from you or an authorized verification provider;

  • information about additional drivers; and

  • other documents reasonably required to confirm identity, authority, age, address, or eligibility.

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers for ordinary short-term rentals. If a particular transaction legally requires additional identity or credit information, we will provide any additional notice required by law.

C. Payment and transaction information

We may collect:

  • payment-card type, cardholder name, billing address, partial card number, token, expiration date, and transaction authorization information;

  • security-deposit, authorization-hold, charge, refund, invoice, receipt, and chargeback information;

  • reservation dates, selected vehicle, pricing, mileage allowance, delivery location, upgrades, discounts, and optional products;

  • tolls, parking charges, citations, fuel or charging costs, cleaning charges, damage charges, and other rental-related expenses; and

  • information needed to detect fraud or verify that a payment method is authorized.

Full payment-card information is generally collected and processed by our payment processor rather than stored directly by Leozen. Do not send full card information through email, text, WhatsApp, or social media.

D. Insurance, accident, and claim information

We may collect:

  • insurer name, policy number, coverage dates, deductibles, limits, insurance-card images, and claims-contact information;

  • accident reports, police reports, citations, witness information, photographs, videos, statements, repair estimates, appraisals, invoices, medical or injury information voluntarily provided in connection with an incident, and insurer communications;

  • information about other drivers, passengers, vehicle owners, claimants, and third parties involved in an incident; and

  • towing, impoundment, recovery, roadside-assistance, and repair records.

Please provide only information reasonably needed to handle the rental or claim.

E. Vehicle, location, and telematics information

Leozen vehicles may contain manufacturer-installed or aftermarket systems that collect or transmit:

  • GPS location, including precise geolocation;

  • route, trip, pickup, delivery, and return-location information;

  • mileage, odometer, speed, acceleration, braking, cornering, and impact-event information;

  • fuel or battery level, charging status, ignition, door, alarm, diagnostic, maintenance, and fault-code information;

  • toll-tag and toll-road activity;

  • remote lock, unlock, start-prevention, theft-recovery, or immobilization events;

  • suspected tampering, disconnection, shielding, or removal of vehicle technology; and

  • other information generated by the vehicle or connected equipment.

Because precise geolocation may be considered sensitive personal data, Leozen will obtain consent when required by applicable law. A renter must also ensure that every authorized driver and occupant receives any notice required for vehicle systems applicable to the rental.

Leozen uses location and telematics information for legitimate rental-related purposes such as confirming delivery and return; locating a missing, overdue, stolen, or impounded vehicle; responding to emergencies or roadside-assistance requests; managing mileage, fuel, battery, toll, maintenance, and damage matters; investigating accidents, theft, fraud, prohibited use, or violations of the rental agreement; protecting customers, the public, and Leozen property; and handling insurance or legal claims.

Leozen does not use vehicle precise-location data to follow a renter for unrelated personal surveillance. Remote immobilization, where available, is used only when Leozen reasonably determines it is lawful and appropriate and not in a manner intended to create an unreasonable safety risk while the vehicle is being driven.

F. Photographs, video, audio, and facility information

We may collect:

  • pre-rental and post-rental vehicle-condition photographs and videos;

  • photographs or video submitted during identity verification, pickup, return, delivery, an accident, or a claim;

  • security-camera footage from a Leozen office, parking, pickup, return, storage, or service area; and

  • recordings or transcripts of customer-service calls when notice or consent required by law is provided.

Some vehicles may have outward-facing dash cameras or manufacturer safety cameras. Leozen will provide additional notice and obtain consent if required before using any system that records inside a vehicle or captures audio.

G. Communications and customer-service information

We collect messages, attachments, call details, customer-service notes, preferences, complaints, reviews, survey responses, and other information you provide through our approved communication channels.

H. Website, device, and cookie information

When you use our online Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, language, approximate location derived from IP address, and referring page;

  • pages viewed, links clicked, dates and times of visits, session activity, form interactions, and error logs;

  • cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and similar online technologies; and

  • security and fraud-prevention signals.

See Section 7 for more information about cookies and advertising choices.

I. Information from other sources

We may receive information from:

  • Turo or another booking or vehicle-sharing platform;

  • payment processors and fraud-prevention providers;

  • identity, license, insurance, or eligibility-verification providers;

  • insurers, claims administrators, attorneys, law enforcement, courts, toll authorities, parking operators, towing companies, repair facilities, and roadside-assistance providers;

  • vehicle manufacturers, connected-car services, GPS and telematics providers;

  • referral partners, travel partners, affiliates, and corporate customers;

  • publicly available sources and social networks; and

  • another person making a lawful booking, claim, payment, or inquiry involving you.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  1. provide quotes, create and manage reservations, deliver vehicles, process returns, and perform rental agreements;

  2. verify identity, driver eligibility, insurance, payment authority, and additional drivers;

  3. process payments, deposits, authorizations, refunds, tolls, citations, fuel, cleaning, damage, and other charges;

  4. communicate about inquiries, bookings, verification, pickup, return, roadside assistance, safety, claims, billing, and customer service;

  5. operate, maintain, secure, locate, recover, and protect vehicles and other property;

  6. investigate accidents, damage, theft, fraud, prohibited use, late returns, chargebacks, complaints, and violations;

  7. coordinate with insurers, claims administrators, law enforcement, toll authorities, repair facilities, towing companies, and service providers;

  8. personalize and improve the Services, vehicle selection, customer experience, advertising, and business operations;

  9. send marketing communications when permitted by law and honor opt-out requests;

  10. maintain records, perform accounting, audit transactions, analyze fleet utilization, and administer the business;

  11. enforce our Terms of Service, rental agreements, and other contracts;

  12. comply with legal, tax, regulatory, insurance, safety, and law-enforcement obligations;

  13. establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and

  14. protect the rights, safety, privacy, and property of customers, the public, Leozen, and others.

Where a law requires a legal basis for processing, our bases may include performing a contract, complying with law, protecting vital interests, pursuing legitimate business interests, and obtaining consent. We will seek consent for sensitive-data processing when required.

3. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Policy:

A. Service providers and contractors

These may include website hosting, cloud storage, booking software, payment processing, identity verification, fraud prevention, communications, electronic signature, marketing, analytics, customer support, accounting, cybersecurity, GPS and telematics, toll processing, roadside assistance, towing, repair, detailing, claims administration, insurance, and professional-service providers.

We authorize service providers to process information only for contracted services or as otherwise permitted by law.

B. Rental, insurance, and claim participants

We may disclose information to authorized drivers, the person or entity paying for a rental, corporate account administrators, insurers, brokers, claims administrators, adjusters, attorneys, repair facilities, towing companies, vehicle owners or lienholders, and parties involved in an accident or claim when reasonably necessary.

We do not ordinarily disclose a renter’s information to another person merely because that person asks about the renter or reservation.

C. Booking and business partners

When you book through Turo or another platform, we may exchange information with that platform to manage the reservation, payment, eligibility, support, safety, and claims. The platform independently controls information it collects under its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information to a delivery, parking, shuttle, travel, referral, or other partner when needed to provide a service you request.

D. Governmental, legal, and safety recipients

We may disclose information to law enforcement, courts, regulators, tax authorities, toll authorities, parking operators, airports, or governmental agencies when required or permitted by law; to respond to valid legal process; to locate or recover a vehicle; to report suspected unlawful activity; or to protect rights, safety, and property.

E. Business transactions

Information may be disclosed in connection with due diligence, financing, insurance, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or another corporate transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards and legal requirements.

F. At your direction or with your consent

We may disclose information when you request, direct, or consent to the disclosure.

G. Aggregated or deidentified information

We may use and disclose information that cannot reasonably be linked to an individual. Where required, we will maintain deidentified information in deidentified form and will not attempt to reidentify it except as permitted to test deidentification safeguards.

4. Sale, Targeted Advertising, and Profiling Disclosure

Leozen does not sell personal information for money and does not sell sensitive personal data or biometric data. Leozen does not use sensitive personal data, including driver’s-license information or precise vehicle location, for targeted advertising.

Some privacy laws define a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly enough to include certain disclosures of website identifiers to advertising or analytics providers, even when no money is exchanged. If Leozen uses technology that constitutes sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, Leozen will provide the required notice and an effective opt-out mechanism, including recognition of legally required browser-based opt-out preference signals.

Leozen does not use personal information to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects through solely automated profiling.

5. Sensitive Personal Information and Consent

Depending on the interaction, Leozen may process information considered sensitive under applicable law, including driver’s-license or government-identification information, payment-account information, precise geolocation, and limited claim-related health information voluntarily provided after an incident.

We use sensitive information only when reasonably necessary for the disclosed rental, verification, security, safety, payment, claim, legal, or fraud-prevention purpose. Where applicable law requires consent, we will request consent before processing and provide a method to withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limitations.

Withdrawal does not affect processing already performed lawfully. If information is essential to identity verification, insurance, vehicle security, or performance of the rental agreement, withdrawing consent may prevent us from completing or continuing a rental. Leozen will explain the consequence at the time of the request.

The website should present a separate unchecked consent during direct booking substantially similar to:

I consent to Leozen Exotics collecting and using precise vehicle location and related telematics during my rental for delivery and return verification, roadside assistance, fleet security, theft and fraud prevention, mileage and fuel verification, maintenance, accident and claim investigation, and enforcement of the rental agreement, as described in the Privacy Policy and Rental Agreement.

6. Identity Verification and Biometric Information

Leozen may ask for a selfie or live image to confirm that the person presenting a driver’s license is the authorized renter or driver. Leozen does not intentionally create or store a biometric identifier or biometric template unless it provides any notice and obtains any consent required by law.

An identity-verification provider may process facial geometry or similar data on Leozen’s behalf.

Leozen does not sell or use biometric information for advertising.

7. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Choices

We may use cookies, pixels, software-development kits, local storage, and similar technologies for:

  • essential website operation, account access, booking, payment, security, and fraud prevention;

  • remembering settings and preferences;

  • measuring website performance, traffic, and errors;

  • understanding which pages and advertisements lead to inquiries or reservations; and

  • advertising or measuring campaigns where permitted.

You may control cookies through our cookie banner or preference center, if available, and through browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Services from functioning. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not uniform; however, Leozen will recognize legally required opt-out preference signals where applicable.

To opt out of marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link. To stop marketing texts, reply STOP. You may still receive nonmarketing communications necessary for an active inquiry, reservation, rental, safety matter, claim, or payment obligation.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing Services, maintaining rental and vehicle records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, supporting insurance and legal claims, meeting accounting and tax requirements, and complying with law.

Retention varies by record type. For example:

  • active reservation and rental records may be retained for the duration of the relationship and an appropriate legal, tax, audit, insurance, or claims period afterward;

  • accident, damage, chargeback, collection, or litigation records may be retained until the matter and applicable limitation periods are concluded;

  • vehicle telematics may be retained for a shorter operational period unless needed for an overdue vehicle, accident, theft, claim, dispute, legal hold, or investigation;

  • security footage is typically overwritten after an operational period unless preserved for an incident; and

  • marketing information is retained until you opt out or it is no longer useful, while suppression records may be retained to honor your opt-out.

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of it, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.

9. Data Security

Leozen uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, secure payment processing, staff access limitations, vendor oversight, monitoring, backups, and secure disposal.

No website, wireless transmission, storage system, or security measure is completely secure. You should protect your devices and account credentials and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized activity. Do not send driver’s-license images, insurance cards, payment information, or other sensitive documents through a channel Leozen has not approved.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside and whether an applicable privacy law covers Leozen’s processing, you may have the right to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal information;

  • access or obtain a portable copy of personal information;

  • correct inaccuracies;

  • request deletion;

  • opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or certain profiling;

  • withdraw consent to processing sensitive personal information;

  • appeal a decision on a privacy request; and

  • exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation.

These rights are subject to exceptions. For example, we may retain or use information needed to perform a rental agreement, process payment, comply with law, protect safety, prevent fraud, establish or defend claims, preserve evidence, or complete another legally permitted internal use.

How to submit a request

Submit a privacy request using either of these methods:

You may also contact us using the information in Section 17. Please state the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information in the initial request.

We will verify requests using information reasonably related to the request’s sensitivity. We may ask for proof of identity or authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and direct identity confirmation. We will not require you to create a new account solely to exercise a privacy right.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law. For covered Texas requests, this is generally no later than 45 days after receipt, subject to a permitted extension. Requests are generally free up to the frequency required by law, although we may charge a reasonable amount or decline a request that is manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive where permitted.

Appeals

If we deny a request, you may appeal by emailing leozenexoticrentals@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” within 30 days. Describe the request, the decision being appealed, and why you believe it should be reconsidered. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If a Texas appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General.

11. California and Other State Disclosures

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, subject to statutory thresholds, definitions, and exceptions. If Leozen becomes subject to a law requiring additional disclosures—such as California category-by-category disclosures, financial incentives, or specific opt-out links—Leozen will provide an applicable supplement.

Leozen will not discriminate against a person for exercising a legally protected privacy right. We do not offer a financial incentive in exchange for personal information unless separately disclosed as required by law.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. Leozen does not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without legally required parental consent. Minors are not permitted to reserve or drive Leozen vehicles.

Information about a minor passenger may be included incidentally in an emergency, accident, insurance claim, communication, or security image. We use that information only as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose and legal obligations. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information through the Services without appropriate authorization.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our Services may link to third-party websites, applications, payment providers, social networks, maps, travel partners, insurers, or booking platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their policies, not this Privacy Policy. Review those policies before providing information.

If you book through Turo or another marketplace, contact the platform directly about information it controls. Leozen remains responsible for information Leozen independently controls.

14. International Users and Travel

Leozen is based in the United States, and personal information is processed in the United States and possibly other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws from your home jurisdiction.

Unless Leozen expressly agrees otherwise, vehicles may not cross international borders. Providing information from outside the United States does not guarantee that Leozen offers Services in your location.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, vendors, vehicles, or business practices.

We will post the revised Policy and update the “Last Updated” date. If required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a materially different practice to information already collected.

16. Terms of Service

Use of the Services is also governed by the Leozen Exotics Terms of Service and, for rentals, the applicable Rental Agreement. The Terms of Service should link to this Privacy Policy, and this Privacy Policy should link back to the Terms of Service.
